The search for digital talents is a real challenge in Italy but MotorK, the Italian company that is changing the entire European automotive distribution industry, thanks to innovative products and services for car dealerships, has chosen to take control of the issue by hiring one of Europe’s most important recruiting experts. Malcolm Kemp took the role of Chief Human Resources Officer and will be in charge of the team’s growth process in all countries in which MotorK currently operates (Italy, UK, France, Spain and Germany), as well as in the forthcoming markets.
If 2017 was considered a crucial year for company growth, which in March received a $10 million investment from two venture capital firms and in July announced the acquisition of the Spanish company Punsset, 2018 will represent an even more challenging year as the growth forecasts will require the HR team to hire several top-skilled talents.
The HR expert Kemp, holding over twenty years of experience in the field, is specialized in supporting fast growing disruptive technology companies. Their expansion rhythms require special competencies to ensure the proper execution of each development phase. Kemp has the uneasy task of attracting the best digital talents in highly competitive markets – a role he can play through his longstanding experience as Vice President Human Resources at Klarna, a Swedish company listed among the unicorns of the FinTech market, valued at 2.25 billion of dollars and over 1400 employees. Previously, Kemp was the Global Director of Talent Acquisition of another unicorn company, Betfair. During those years, the demand for working for the online bookmaker grew by an average of 30% each year. In addition, Kemp was also Dell Corporation’s EMEA Talent Acquisition.
MotorK, with currently more than 60 open positions across Europe, is aiming to double the number of employees by 2018 (currently 220, of which 70% in Italy). Their goal is to firstly strengthen their sales force, following with their corporate team, and lastly with their tech department. In the marketing department, MotorK is currently looking for Visual Designers, Digital Marketing Specialists and Traffic Acquisition Experts; in the technology department they are hiring Software Developers (Java, PHP, WordPress and Front-End), Web Designers and UI / UX Designers; Product development is seeking a Digital Product Manager and CRM Product Specialists.
