About the Role

You will contribute by building new features for WebSpark and help scaling the platform. We are looking for individuals willing to help us raise our bar and improve our current architecture; code lovers who are experienced enough to know that for any given technical solution the execution is a key factor for success.

What You'll Do

Ship maintainable, robust and tested code in production

  • Collaborate with POs and other devs to deliver value incrementally but constantly 
  • Understand our business needs to make sure you’re addressing them properly
  • Liaise with the QA Engineers to test the user stories
  • Identify and implement the best architectural solutions collaborating with the architects
  • Help improving our way of working based on continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Extensive expertise of OOP in a PHP/Laravel environment
  • Proficient with WordPress environment
  • Clear understanding of fundamental computer science and software engineering concepts (e.g. design patterns)
  • Experience with packaging tools such as Webpack, Babel or Grunt
  • Clear understanding of fundamental computer science and software engineering concepts (e.g. design patterns, algorithms, SOLID and KISS principles, scalability patterns)
  • Clear DevOps culture with proven hands-on experience running a cloud based application on AWS. Setup, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Experience with packaging tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of unit and functional testing and experience with TDD
  • Familiar with continuous delivery and with the principles of “you build it, you run it”
  • Great team player, able to perform with little or no supervision, always willing to contribute and add value where possible
  • Good spoken and written level of English
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and best practices such as peer review, pair programming

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to Tailwind CSS
  • Some knowledge on Alpine.js/Vue.js or any similar frontend framework
  • DDD and/or BDD experience
