We’re looking for a Data Engineer: the ideal candidate will be working closely with the Director of Architecture, the goal is to conceptualise, build, put in production, and maintain our Data Pipelines that feeds our Enterprise Reporting for our clients getting data from heterogeneous sources (relational databases, files or network APIs).

Requirements

What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of the existing reporting infrastructure and evolve it
  • Collect requirements from product leaders
  • Conceptualise a short and long term strategy, supporting the roadmap
  • Develop the data pipelines for our embedded reporting for our clients and our internal reporting
  • Manage and maintain systems and processes, including strong documentation (Data Dictionary)
  • Technologies you might work with include:
    • Code: Python, PHP
    • Frameworks: AWS Glue, XPlenty (integrate.io)
    • Cloud: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud
    • Data: Google BigQuery, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, RabbitMQ


Who You Are

  • At least 3 years of experience building Cloud ETL/ELT infrastructures and pipelines
  • Knowledge of Cloud infrastructures (Google and AWS)
  • Knowledge of SQL, ETL tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift or similar DWH engines
  • Knowledge of Analytics tools and methodologies is a plus
  • Ability to summarise and visualise data in an effective and informative way
  • Capable of dealing with high volume and variety of data in a evolutionary approach
  • Knowledge of web marketing and its data sources (Facebook, Adwords etc.) is a plus
  • English proficiency.
