Senior Principal Engineer - Platform - Lisbon - Motork

We are now building a next-generation platform where as a Senior Principal Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to produce a high impact and shape the technical direction of the technology department.
As part of the architecture team, you will work with other Principal Engineers, supporting each product team in PoCs and other innovation initiatives.
What you will do
- Be at the forefront of significant technology initiatives from inception to successful deployment
- Identifying system-level improvements and deficiencies and bringing them to light
- Provide technical leadership to multiple teams of engineers working cross-functionally in an agile environment
- Owning and driving architecture practices.
- Technologies you might work with include:
- Code: PHP, Java, Python, NodeJS, Typescript, VueJS
- Cloud: Amazon Web Services
- Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
- Data: Kafka, MySQL, RabbitMQ, MongoDB
Requirements
Who you are
- 5+ years of commercial experience in full-stack software development
- Java experience is a big plus, but Python, Node, and other general-purpose programming languages are beneficial.
- Comfortable working across multiple platforms and environments.
- Experience in working and using DDD practices
- Experience with deploying complex applications on cloud platforms using a container orchestration platform, such as Kubernetes.
- Prefers simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and has a good intuition for what will last and scale
